Metal Industries ship breakers at Faslane have brought to an end many a fine ship including H.M.S. Vanguard seen here on the left Britain's largest ever battleship built at John Browns at Clydebank on the Clyde and was over 800 feet long, and she never fired her massive 15 inch guns in anger. This is now the site of the jetties and ship lift for Britain's trident submarine fleet.one of which is named H.M.S. Vanguard.
